We’re on a mission to make birth better.

Birth is a time of transition—in a woman’s health, in her identity, and in her life. It is a time of extremes—with moments of pure joy and of deep vulnerability. It is a time of opportunity when families are motivated to reset their behaviors and commit to healthier choices.

Traditional practices are not structured to take advantage of this opportunity. With expensive teams, large patient panels, and a narrow focus on physical health, they are unable to engage the social, emotional, and lifestyle factors that impact birth outcomes and long-term health. In the face of fragmentation, systems struggle to consistently implement the intrapartum practices that drive improvement.

Rising maternal mortality, unacceptable racial inequities, and a host of other indicators are the result.

We believe the key to improving outcomes for the families we serve is wrapping evidence-based clinical and operational protocols in an experience that engages women and provides them with care and support that is relevant to their lives.

We are mothers, clinicians, healthcare administrators, public health experts, and community advocates united by a belief that women deserve better and a commitment to change the status quo.
